What they think of Us

“Our time with Federico was amazing! This was our favorite part of our vacation in Italy -an absolute must do when in Tuscany! We enjoyed spending the day with Federico and his dogs, Argo and Sally- and learning about their special training and hunting for truffles. Then we enjoyed a great dinner at the restaurant using the fresh truffles we found for crostini and pasta. We also enjoyed fresh cheese, salami, compotes, wine, and wild boar from their organic farm. I would absolutely recommend doing this for a perfect experience of Tuscany.”

“What a wonderful, wonderful day my family and I had with Frederico and his two adorable, smart and hard working dogs, Argo and Rex and Frederico’s friend, Titziana, who joined us. We are staying near Orvieto with my adult children and their spouses and our three year old grandson. We booked this adventure so that we could do something interesting and unique to share as a family who don’t get to see each other often enough. Frederico is so knowledgeable and passionate about dogs and truffles. He even takes dogs from rescue shelters and trains them to hunt truffles so they can be more adoptable. Argo and Rex obviously love their work and have won many awards and they love their master. The dogs found many truffles and it was fun to help them dig them up. The countryside we trekked around in was so beautiful. We ended the perfect day at a lovely agritourismo in the countryside where we were lavished with a multi course delicious lunch. Frederico had provided the truffles so we could taste them on the pasta. There was also a lavish antipasto course with “contorni” and bruschetta, and wild boar stew after the pasta. We enjoyed both red and white wine, bottled water, and grappa, averno and arrancello. Oh and vinsanto and biscotti too. The whole day was a great value and it was so nice to interact with locals.”
